Work Sample and Performance Tests

Overview:

This one-day course will provide participants with an understanding of the uses and applications of work sample and performance tests. Topics include the development, scoring, assessor/rater training, and the practical and logistical issues related to the administration of work sample and performance tests. Various testing formats will be covered, including in-basket exercises, written and oral exercises, role-play exercises and physical performances tests.

Objective:

Gain an understanding of the appropriate use of work sample and performance tests.  Participants will engage in exercises to practice their skills in work sample development and administration.

Intended Audience

Personnel analysts, managers, or individuals responsible for the development of employment testing and selection programs.

Prerequisites:

Job Analysis, Statistics Made Easy for Personnel Selection, Personnel Selection & Test Validation: Concepts and Principles, and Examination Planning and Scoring Models.
