Sexual Harassment Prevention
Overview:
SPB and Team Trainers strive to foster understanding, explain rights and duties, and provide techniques and perspectives that actually prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. Sexual harassment prevention training is ineffective unless it is interactive, rooted in practical experiences and risks, entertaining, respectful, and thorough. The training distinguishes between "behavior" that can lead to hostile environments vs. behaviors that when taken together, constitute illegal behavior. This class is taught by a two-person team, a female and male, to give both perceptions/two voices--this is what distinguishes Team Trainers from other instructors. The seminar includes, among other modules, the following teaching points:
- Federal & State Laws and State Policies
- Supervisor, Management & Staff Responsibilities
- Quid Pro Quo vs. Hostile Environment
- Male and Female Perceptions
- "Triggers" Resulting in Abusive Working Environments
- Romantic Relationships
- Behavior Modification
Objective:
This program's interactive strategies demonstrate to employees how to prevent harassment, including supervisor strategies, informal communication, avoiding overreaction, not being a silent witness, teamwork approaches, discipline, limited confidentiality, duty to investigate, personal liability, zero tolerance or other agency policies, and more.
