Discussion 13
To: Job analysis discussion group
Hello everyone-
I've attached the latest version of the job analysis catalog. It
contains all the information I've received or gathered. Please take a
moment to review it to make sure that any of your listings have all of
the correct information. If you have not responded, I encourage you to
do so.
On another note, some people have asked if it's possible to link the
KSA and task Excel spreadsheets to the summary sheets, so that there
would be no Copying and Pasting required. Here's what I was able to
figure out: You can link them, but you have to have both documents open
simultaneously, which defeats the purpose of being able to distribute
these individually. The other option mentioned was to have the summary
at the back (tab) of the file--unfortunately this would also require
combining the ratings since each person would have their own summary
sheet. Bottom line: If you know how to improve the current method, I'm
all ears! Until then, I'm always available for any questions you might
have on these. I'm beginning to think that a brief training session
might be useful.
Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm taking one of my rare
days off on Monday and really looking forward to it.

Hi all! Thought you might find this interesting and it's a quick read:
http://www.rocket-hire.com/newsletter/2004/2/dobbs.html
It's a short article about a study that looked at the turnover and
productivity of individuals recruited from various sources. It has some
interesting conclusions regarding internet-based recruiting.
Hope everybody's doing well.
