General Information
Once you have established list eligibility for the classification (job title) for which the examination was given, you can refer back to the examination bulletin and your test results to determine the parameters of your list eligibility. Generally, open tests administered by the State Personnel Board are considered servicewide examinations and can be used for making hires by any state department. If you took a test that was administered by another state department for its own use, you may only be able to apply for jobs for that particular department. The hiring state department will inform you of whether or not you are eligible to apply for its vacancy. To determine your current ranking on an employment list, you can view this information using your candidate ID number that is located on your exam results notice.
