Interpreter Service Notice Poster
In an effort to facilitate California State departments' compliance with the Dymally-Alatorre Bilingual Services Act, the State Personnel Board (SPB) has developed a template Notice of Interpreter Services with translated text available in 20 non-English languages: Armenian, Arabic, Cambodian, Chinese, Croatian, Farsi, French, German, Hindi, Hmong, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese. This template can be used to create a poster that ensures the Limited English Proficient (LEP) public are aware of the state's responsibility to provide language-access to all persons regardless of their native language. A poster can be customized to reflect individual local offices' language needs with the click of a button. Departments should utilize their most recent language survey data as a guide in identifying their non-English language needs.
